CHIRAW Guitarist Featured In Dutch TV Competition 'Rock Nation'

September 9, 2008

Guitarist Gep Henneberke of the Dutch metallers CHIRAW is featured in "Rock Nation", a series on Dutch national television. Twenty talented Dutch rock musicians were selected via MySpace to form the ultimate rock band. Check out the first episode of this competition at this location. Future episodes will be broadcast on the RTL5 network every Sunday at 21.30.

CHIRAW recently inked a deal with Rusty Cage Records. The group's new album, "Dark Frequencies", will be released on October 15. The CD was recorded by Gerwin Bruins and mixed by Jochem Jacobs (TEXTURES).

According to a press release, "the band shows a combination of heavy, energized, brutal riffs, industrial atmospheric samples, crystal clean melodies, killer shouts and ground pounding beats to energize the scene."

CHIRAW is a fusion of the words "chi" and "raw". Chi or Qi in Chinese stands for vital energy, and raw refers to the pure nature of CHIRAW's live performances.
